Leverage Your Lawn to Create a Beautiful Succulent Garden

Picture
Southern California residents live in a semi-arid climate which almost dessert-like. The natural lack of water, plus rainfall shortage in recent years has created drought condition serious enough for the governor to declare a drought emergency. The state government is now offering financial assistance to homeowners who are willing to help drought relief by removing lawn/turf from their property and replacing it with a choice of low-water-consuming options.

Although a lawn is a pleasant feature for most homeowners, maintaining a grass lawn is becoming less viable in our drought-impacted region. Fortunately there are other aesthetically pleasing and ecologically sustainable landscaping  alternatives, which are cost-effective as well. We at Succulent Gardens would like to introduce you to these options, for converting your lawn space into one which requires very little water, with the help of California state funding!

Let Us Help You Leverage Your Lawn!
In order to help ease the serious drought conditions in California, government funds are immediately available for property owners who wish to convert their lawn areas to lower water maintenance options. These water-saving options include converting to ground covering of wood-chips, a rock garden, the planting of beautiful succulents, or installing of an attractive artificial grass or any combination of the above, which are all subsidy-qualifying, attractive alternatives. Depending on one's water district, funds from approximately $2 to $5 per square foot are available for turf removal and replacement with low-water-consuming ground cover.

As landscape designers and consultants, we can guide you through the process of converting the grass-covered areas of your property to highly-sustainable, water-conserving options that will not only help save significant money on your water bill, but will qualify you for cash benefits dispersed directly from local government sources. Government-issued cash payments for lawn-conversion are available as an incentive for homeowners to join state-wide water conservation efforts. In essence state funds are available, which can be confirmed before conversion work begins, which actually subsidize each lawn conversion with significant cash incentives.
