Illusion Happens
Experience and multiple angles of vision can help us distinguish reality from illusion. But illusion continues to happen.
Illusions can be visual as above as to depth perception, or conceptual such as a belief based on a false premise - again another problem in depth perception of reality. An illusion can take the form of thinking a situation will last indefinitely, whether good or bad, ignoring the fact that change is inevitable due to the influence of eternal time.
But sometimes we seem to get stuck somehow and lose direction, thinking our body is the actual self, not knowing of or ignoring our spiritual identity, which transcends time and material nature - an identity meant to exchange love eternally with the Supreme.
Our spirit intuitively knows it lasts forever, and seeks increasing happiness, which can be found with added spiritual vision and direction. If the desire for upgrading one's spiritual vision and life is sincere, the Lord in the heart will shine a light on one's path and free one from the darkness of illusion.

Beware of sadness, it can hit you, it can hurt you, make you sore but what is more, that is not what you are here for..
..while each unconscious sufferer, wanders aimlessly.. beware of Maya..
..while each unconscious sufferer, wanders aimlessly.. beware of Maya..
Maya is a Sanskrit word which means "illusion", or "that which is not". Our spirit is actually eternal and therefore real, whereas our physical body changes from childhood to youth to old age; then the spirit exits and goes elsewhere according to one's desire. Bg 2.13
May the light prevail!
"He cries oh girl, you must mad what happened to the sweet love you and me had? Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green And so castles made of sand, fall in the sea, eventually..."
And his tears fall and burn the garden green And so castles made of sand, fall in the sea, eventually..."
The Gift Of The Present
Because material circumstance are always changing, the source of happiness from any material circumstances also has a built-in distress clause, activated over time, but there is a positive spiritual alternative accessible in the eternal present.
The whole material plane of existence is considered to be an illusion because it's temporary - it is very real - but only for a limited time. Just as in a dream we might experience happiness or misery, which is a real experience, but fades upon awakening,
In the same way while in our normal waking state, the mind concocts plans of attaining lasting happiness and perfection through various methods and types strategic materialistic planning and accumulation, hoping to have enough.
But whether such plan-making succeeds or not, the resultant satisfaction or lack thereof, doesn't last long. What is needed is information and a plan that includes the spiritual dimension of our individual and collective loving journeys.
If one concedes that God is the source of everything, then God is also the source of all happiness and love as well; we just have to re-connect to our Source to get the dose that is our spiritual birthrate, rather than fading shadow reflections of promised bliss.
One way to connect is through musical and/or internal prayer, in conjunction with applied knowledge and detachment from material misconceptions and illusions - which creates space for ecstatic Spirit to thrive.
Saints and sages advise that satisfaction experienced by spiritual realization through re-connection and service of Source, opens one to timeless happiness, both here and now. Seek, and you shall find the service and spiritual process that resonates within and without.
It is by experiencing that higher taste while engaging in service, which allows one to let go of material conceptions which no longer serve one's evolving personal truth.

Waking Up To Love
Beatles - "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
"I look at you all and see the love there that's sleeping, while my guitar gently weeps..
..I don't know why, nobody told you, how to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you, They bought and sold you..
..With every mistake we must surely be learning, while my guitar gently weeps"

Illusions Seem So Real, Then Fades Away - A Temporary Love Playlist
In this regard, in an Vedic ancient scripture, the Supreme Lord says to Brahma (the secondary creator/architect of the material universe SB 2.9.34: "O Brahmā, whatever appears to be of any value, if it is without relation to Me, has no reality. Know it as My illusory energy, that reflection which appears to be in darkness." (Free online Srimad Bhagavatam can be found HERE).
Stevie Wonder ponders love as magic, and asks why it can't be everlasting.
49 Bye Byes
Performed by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Full lyrics here
"Forty Nine reasons all in a line
All of them good ones,
All of them lies.
Driftin' with my lady
We're oldest of friends
Need a little work, and there's fences to mend.
Steady girl, be my world
`Till the drifter come, now she's gone.
I let that man play his hand.
I let them go, how was I to know?
I'm down on my knees.
Nobody left to please...."

Driftin' with my lady
We're oldest of friends
Need a little work, and there's fences to mend.

Looking For Another Pure Love
Never tears or sorrows came before me in my mind,
I had no problems, never a problem in my life,
Never a worry on my mind.
All my days before today were happy,
And secure until your phone call,
You were tellin' me goodbye.
Now I'm lookin' for another love,
I'm lookin' for another pure love in my life,
And I'm lookin' for another love,
I'm lookin' for another pure love in my life.
I had no problems, never a problem in my life,
Never a worry on my mind.
All my days before today were happy,
And secure until your phone call,
You were tellin' me goodbye.
Now I'm lookin' for another love,
I'm lookin' for another pure love in my life,
And I'm lookin' for another love,
I'm lookin' for another pure love in my life.
