Prudent, But Not A Prude; Engaging The Absolute

Engagement, Distance, Analysis Paralysis

We seek contact with others but don't want to either overextend, or stunt a moment. We don't want to miss out, or over-commit. We want to be in touch, but sometimes from a distance. -
We only have so much time for certain people, actually for all people, if put in context of a lifetime.

Everyone has their limits, but what about engaging with something unlimited - such as the conscious universe/God/Source? If we could speak to our Source, how much time could we budget or handle?
We are being called to use discretion, prudence, in culling disinformation from the vital; and at the same time engage the heart and mind in self-actuation - showing up to experience universal love.
We have to have the information available to give us the strength of heart to know that steps toward love unconditional, will be reciprocated at least in kind, if not magnified. In fact it is by experiencing a greater love than we can imagine, that we can release old stagnant patterns and misconceptions.
By opening one's heart to one's Higher Power sincerely, God/Source/Universe will respond.
The process is the same in all spiritual traditions; for one willing to seek, one shall find and be found.

Playing Nice In This Universe Of Matter And Spirit

The Supreme Lord said: My dear friend, mighty-armed Arjuna, listen again to My supreme word, which I shall impart to you for your benefit and which will give you great joy.

I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this perfectly engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.

The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are surrendered to Me, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss enlightening one another and conversing about Me.

To those who are constantly devoted and worship Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.

Out of compassion for them, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.

From Bhagavad Gita As It Is - Chapter 9, Verses 1,8,9,10,11

To be engaged with the Absolute, in the service of the Absolute, one can choose prayers/mediation from multiple traditions.

One highly recommended ancient Sanskrit (Vedic) mantra meditation, is to repeat the following:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

There are no hard and fast rules for chanting this prayer. It asks the divine energy of God to engage one in the divine service of the one God/Source who lives in each heart next to each individual soul.

Embracing Experiential Reality

Brother, Can You Spare A Paradigm?

Personal consciousness, like gravity and time, is invisible and hard to define - as to one's meaning and purpose. Yet despite eluding precise scientific consensus, such subtleties as time, gravity and consciousness are a proven part of one's personal reality, by dint of one's personal experience of them.

The quality of one's conscious experience of reality does not need an external validation as to the value of an experience for the person having it. Yet the personal paradigm of reality which many people hold, tends to be in a state of flux - the understanding of what is real and valuable to each person, and what is not.

What can be said of consciousness, gravity and time, is that each person has a certain amount of time in one's present body, to gravely consider or not, the forces which bind one to this world.

Many wonder if there is a point or purpose to the life experiences we are wrapped up in - the events and experiences which make up one's personal reality, as well as contribute to a collective reality.
Thoughtful folks have contemplated these issues over the ages, with each person's experiences and conscious conceptions factoring into the bigger landscape - of how to live and be happy.
Could there be a one-size-fits-all understanding of one's conscious reality and purpose - a paradigm that encompasses understanding one's conscious personal experiences, in relationship to all of the seen and unseen energetic forces of the universal collective?
In the marketplace of paradigms, many come from scientists asking for blind faith in their various models - models which assume unproven and unseen causes of visible reality which can't accurately  measured on a cosmic scale. Spiritual traditions basically ask for the same faith in invisible causation of the visible. A new paradigm is needed which validates the seen, the unseen, and the experiential.

Both scientific and religious paradigms have largely disappointed not only due to lack of consensus, but due to a self-serving egotism seeking power and control. When the search for life-enriching knowledge filters down as limited information co-opted by those interested in control over the masses, the search for pure self-knowledge usually becomes compromised and corrupted by the power-hungry.

The search for knowledge is one thing, how it is used is another. A nicely balanced paradigm awaits.
Times are rapidly changing, bridging theoretical understandings into a new model of personal experience, plus understanding of a multitude of energies at play in one's personal reality.

The bridge is being formed by hearing new information, most of which is eternal, but simply repackaged for the time, place and circumstance for each new hearer, in this age of information accessibility.
For anyone who has the gravity of mind to consider times are changing quickly, and for one who wants to consciously grow an understanding and experience of unconditional love in the present moment, the paradigm of constantly performing divine service to Source/God/Conscious Universe daily, is something to consider. Such service can take on many forms, starting with one's hearing.

It is the experience of such loving service in one's own daily reality, which is the perfection of both science and philosophy - as to why we are here, and why the universe itself has divinely manifested.
Service is universal; some of it forced or purchased, some of it given freely in love.

It is this quintessential activity or dharma of living being which can be meditatively, mindfully,  and lovingly directed, which evolves each persons highest good.

One constantly chooses how direct to their conscious energy minute-by-minute, according to one's conception or paradigm of reality; it is a grand meditation on life, hopefully yeilding a better life.

When's one's life-paradigm shifts to understanding a spiritual reality - a reality where all of the facilities at one's disposal are used in connection for the highest good of all, then a blissful transformation of one's personal reality automatically follows. One's purpose and identity are liberated from all doubt, when a greater reality is experienced and served.

It is by serving something greater than oneself, that one's own greatness is humbly achieved and expanded throughout time; something personally experienced.

No matter one's station or occupation in life, if one sees reality as a divine play - with each player acting their own part in a mood of loving service, the Divine will respond in very personal ways in one's own experiential reality, affirming that all is right and full of light in one's experiential universe.

In this divine of paradigm of reality, both the true self and truth Divine, are personally revealed.

Observing Source Energy, Within and Without

Divine Truths, Hiding In Plain Sight
Even for one half-awake, the observable world can be seen as masterpiece of creative artistry.

Whether observing the cosmos or reflecting on daily life, there are messages lurking at every turn for those seeking to intuitively know the substance of reality through hints and symbols, great and small.

A message seen in nature is sometimes obvious, but due to a conditioned mindset of wanting to dominate nature rather than see it's creative purpose, the messages are mostly obscured.

Understanding that life is connected on many energetic levels both seen and unseen, awakens new understandings of energetic forms, and each individual's purpose when handling one's quota of energetic opportunity.

One may see the entire world as random - with no dots connected - or one can understand that reconnecting one's personal energy to the Source of all energy, is a soul-fulfilling mission.

An integrative understanding of both subtle and gross forms of energy, which swirl around us at every moment, happens through a conscious remembrance of the higher order of spiritual artistry coming from a transcendent Artist, from which all manifestations of matter and energy are flowing.

How to reconnect to one's Source takes on different approaches, either by one's works, applied knowledge, or service directed personally to Source.

This is made possible by being cognizant that both the material and spiritual energies originate from a single Source and are layered upon one another - based on visible and invisible creative patterns.

Knowing that the structure of matter is  a manifestation of spiritual consciousness, on both an individual and Universal level, opens the doors of perception to spiritual frontiers and interactive messages of spirit, within and without.

The photos below, taken back-to-back, is one example of symbols of truth in an ordinary day.
Picture
Picture
Looking toward the sun, one can observe organic life in the meadow as well as the man-made fence, which if artistically viewed, could represent one's self-imposed boundaries.

It is by the grace of light, or knowledge, that we can see ourselves, and our shadows.

By turning away from the light - one only sees a distorted shadow form of one's true energetic existence. This shadow form of reality, only appears when light is blocked.
It's is one's conscious viewpoint which influences the quality and future of one's experiences.

Understanding how matter and spirit do co-exist, and Who or what Source is the controller of both, is said to constitute what actual knowledge is.

Everyone has free will; a choice to pursue that knowledge which serves both self and Source. It is such knowledge in action, which frees one from the numbness, of living in a shadow-puppet world.

Living In a World of Matter and Spirit

Picture
We live as observers of a reality composed on a layered canvas hosting both material and spiritual energies.

We as observers, are a part and parcel of a supreme spiritual energy, covered by layers of matter. Therefore we are somewhat entangled with varieties of material energy - which manifest as earth, water, fire, air and ether, as represented in the picture to the left.

It is by sound, either material sound transmitted through ether, or spiritual sound, heard by one's soul in the heart, that one gains insight on reality - but one has to answer the call.

To answer a spiritual call, one just has to be ready to spend time listening to sources of spiritual content of one's choosing - then a personal message will then be revealed.

This happens with seekers in all traditions, material and spiritual. One hears from someone that has valid information to glean, in the process of learning anything. If one listens clearly and openly, reception of the transmission will have the desired result of achieving the listeners goal.

Whether listening gospel music, musical kirtan in a yoga studio or temple, hearing an inspired speech, or hearing sound in the mind while reading - the particular language doesn't matter as much as the message. In the language of the heart we all have the same need and desire - to express and receive love. We all have a song to sing, and a song to listen to in the heart, flowing from the Divine. Here are a few.

One Eternal Moment

Being In The Moment
According to mystics of all traditions, there is a transcendent space which one can consciously experience, which is beyond the space and time of this material universe. It is a place deep within us, rather than something outside of us; a state of consciousness gradually evolved.

Somewhat counter-intuitively, that space is not beyond the material universe itself, but is an energetic field which is actually the foundation of all matter, but not matter. It is the most subtle of energy, somewhat comparable to the necessary inspiration of architect, before a structure is built; it is the space holding space. (There is a very similar idea lately in physics, called "Quantum Monism" which proposes there is a presently undetectable type of unified energy which somehow connects all sub-atomic particles)

Ancient wisdom suggests that transcendent space (Brahman) energetically supports the entire universal manifestation; it is an energetic footprint which also supports other subtle realities which are not measurable by ordinary human sense perception or instrumentation. It is a consciousness-based space experienced by those rare souls unfettered by material time and desire - those who are forever present in the eternal moment.

Like gravity and time, transcendent space is an invisible phenomenon noted by it's symptomatic affects which are subjectively experienced by an observer. As to how and why - it is a space and an experience naturally revealed by one's subjective evolution of consciousness.

As infrared and ultraviolet rays are the ends of a spectrum not visible to the naked eye, there is a spectrum of transcendent energy only known and seen by those whose non-material/spiritual senses have been awakened - by that same underlying and all-pervasive energy. It takes One to know one.

That space can also be found in the small universe that is one's body - by going deep into one's heart, which is the seat of consciousness. The brain may flare electrical flashes as symptoms of the workings a processing unit, but actually the eternal spark of consciousness/spirit/soul, is invisibly seated in the region of the physical heart according to sacred texts.

It is from this location that consciousness pervades the entire body; consciousness is much more subtle and far-reaching than just the electrical impulses of brain activity.

One could consider that everything is heart-based on one level or another including intelligence - but that's another discussion.

Sacred texts also mention that the Supreme All-pervasive sits with each soul, conscious of it's needs and desires, and is the Source of all individual revelation - it is from internal divine grace, that transcendent space is revealed and experienced by the individual observer.
"Bhagavad Gita 2.11,12,17

Same Person, Different Bodies
"As the embodied soul continually passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. The self-realized soul is not bewildered by such a change. Know that which pervades the entire body is indestructible. No one is able to destroy the imperishable soul."
The living force or consciousness is made of energy which is never destroyed; it simply changes form. The housing of the body is continually changing, due to the influence of both time and one's conscious desires and actions. We have not been informed for the most part, that we are preparing our next body moment by moment, by our present thoughts and actions.

Material desires create another material body eventually manifesting over time, whereas spiritual desires manifest a spiritual body beyond time's reach. So how does one distinguish between the two?

Spiritual desires provoke divine expression and spark loving reciprocation individually and in the collective. Material desires fuel a sense of disconnection, triggered by unnecessary fears fomented by a delusional ego confused by unlimited desires - desires which contain the seeds of hate when  denied or found to be unsatisfying even when achieved.

If one wants to be hosted in eternity - forever in the present moment immune from the fluctuations of the material elements and time itself, one can enter transcendent space through one's heart, if one is willing to actively seek that realm. Such embodiment is the nature of spirit or divine consciousness, described in Sanskrit texts as Sat, Cit, Ananda, translated as Eternity, Knowledge, Bliss.

When the realization of Eternity, Knowledge and Bliss are fully experience within by divine grace, one is blessed by the conscious understanding of one's spiritual form and function, no longer defined by material designations which veil a higher reality.

It is said that humankind is made in the image of God - Eternity, Knowledge, and Bliss are the constituent elements which form the spiritual body after death; a form like that of the Creator.

One who seeks and finds that divine presence, aided by divine grace, is known as Jivan Mukta: one who is liberated from all misconceptions, even while residing in one's present material body.

By reaching inward where the Supreme Source waits and listens, guidance will come through various channels, directed by that same Supreme Energetic Being who is inconceivably personal, yet all-pervasive at the same time.

"Seek and ye shall find"
"When the the student is ready the teacher will appear"
Cliches perhaps - but nonetheless, very true.

Once achieving a steady state of inner awareness, one can meet all internal and external challenges from a place of higher perspective as well as appreciation for the process of one's life journey.

A Final Thought
Time is only here now, and with one humble vow, one can regain divine love long-forgotten,
Seek the Soul of all souls, turn your heart to pure gold, then you'll be able to laugh at your coffin
